Our Outdoor Terrace is the ideal setting for a variety of events, offering a total of 8,400 square feet of flexible space, split into several distinct areas—each with its own unique characteristics to enhance your experience. Located on the second floor, adjacent to the Duane Roth Auditorium, this open-air venue offers ample room for catering, networking, or simply enjoying the fresh air while adding a versatile outdoor element to any indoor gathering. Whether you're hosting a cocktail reception, a networking session, or a relaxing break for attendees, the terrace provides an ideal setting to enhance your event experience.
Restroom facilities are conveniently located at the nearby Café for your guests' comfort.
Please note, additional tables and chairs for events are not included, but can be arranged upon request through catering. Any removal or rearrangement of the existing furniture on the Terrace is subject to an additional fee. Our facilities team is happy to assist with any setup requests, but adjustments to the layout may incur extra charges. The Consortium also does not provide extra electrical equipment, or any other equipment possibly needed for your event. Our Events Coordinator can assist you with connections with outside rental companies to help assist in bringing in necessary equipment.
Oceanside Terrace:
The Oceanside Terrace is an open, sun-drenched area with panoramic views overlooking the Glider Port. This portion of the Terrace is perfect for smaller, intimate gatherings with a maximum capacity of 50 people. It’s an excellent choice for cocktail receptions, casual networking, or as an outdoor lounge for guests to unwind during breaks. While the existing furniture is fixed and cannot be rearranged (with fees applied for adjustments), it is thoughtfully placed to ensure comfort and ease of use. Please note, there are no electrical outlets in this section, but catering options are available to keep your guests refreshed and satisfied.
Alcove Terrace:
Adjacent to the Duane Roth Auditorium, the Alcove Terrace offers a refreshing change of pace with its shaded environment, making it the perfect respite on warmer days. With a maximum capacity of 80 people, this section provides a more sheltered, cozy area ideal for tabletop vendors or poster sessions. Thanks to the conveniently located monitor, you can display presentations from the Roth Auditorium, seamlessly blending the indoor and outdoor experiences. The Alcove also includes outlets for any electrical needs, and catering services are available to add an extra layer of convenience for your guests.
West Terrace:
The West Terrace extends from the Alcove, offering additional space to accommodate up to 100 people. This is where catering tables are often placed, allowing guests to enjoy food and beverages in a relaxed, open environment while taking in the beautiful coastal views. The West Terrace is well-suited for larger gatherings such as cocktail receptions, casual mingling, or larger networking events. Though limited outlets are available in the light poles for your electrical needs, the space provides a seamless flow from the Alcove, ensuring your event transitions smoothly from one area to another.
